Monsters!

Jesse came this morning and installed our Visa/Mastercard/Debit machine. We are quite excited about this, as we were a little worried that we wouldn't have it in time to open on Monday...Only three days away!

The clothesline is installed and looking good. We have Natural Charm Organic Clothing, and Parade Organics, with a beautiful line of Kushies organic clothing arriving in a few weeks. It's amazing how soft the organic cotton and bamboo are. Bamboo is my new favourite fiber...SO soft, durable, and eco-friendly!

We've had a few little visitors in to help us kid-proof. It's amazing to watch them motor through the space, and helpful to see what they get into. They seem quite taken with the monsters!

Monsters, you ask?
Monsters! We say.

The monsters are vibrant, plush characters that are hand-made in the Monster Factory, a little studio in downtown Toronto. Full of quirky personality, Keira, Colin, Sebastian, and the gang are great for hugging!

That's all the news for now. Can't wait to see you there!

It's All Coming Together!

Many exciting things have been happening at Sweetpea...The space is literally transforming before our eyes!

All the beautiful products arriving, the signs going up, the sound system coming to life, the cash register appearing, and the great tree mural reaching upward take my breath away a little, and make it all delightfully REAL.

The Pippalily slings arrived today; beautiful, Canadian-made slings in the most gorgeous patterns. Their creator, Victoria, lives in Toronto and just had her third baby four days ago!

Paper has gone up on all the windows in preparation for the big REVEAL, but I've caught more than a few curious eyes peeking in. Thank you to everyone for your interest and support!

The count-down is on...We might miss our original goal of an October 15th open, but if we can do it we will! Otherwise, look for the OPEN sign to appear on the 19th.

Can't wait to see you there!
